Hilysens Project

The aim of HILYSENS II is to develop a novel labā€onā€chip diagnostic tool to improve clinical diagnostic, disease monitoring and treatment of Lyme disease by enabling specific and sensitive detection of the human serological response against Borrelia burgdorferi sl infections.

Lyme diagnosis is made in a microchip that contains a detection chamber, in which the human serum immunoglobulins against Borrelia antigens are trapped by the immobilized antigens.

Immobilized antigens attached with Quantum Dots are detected by the reader which incorporates the signal into measured results and provides a diagnosis.
